Jennifer Yolanda Okosun is a writer, speaker, and the Founder of Young Parent Elevation Network (YPEN). An uplifting and supportive community for young parents and organizations that serve them to elevate parents and their children for optimal well-being through creative expression and personal development education. Jennifer has written an research-based personal development curriculum covering categories such as character, communication, self-care, and community building. Currently, she is a Parent Leader with DC-based nonprofit organization, Spaces in Action delivering parent cafes. She also serves on the board of the Margie Mclean Foundation, Inc as a Family Advocate. She is currently pursuing a degree in behavioral health with a focus on Media Psychology. As a member of the Junior League of Washington (JLW), she will soon complete Leadership Development and Board Member education training as well. She sees her purpose as helping to guide motivated young single mothers in their 20’s and 30’s on their journey through personal growth and wellness. She will release her book “Raising Yourself to Raise the Next Generation” later this year. She is the co-presenter of the NATIONAL RECONCILIATION WEEK and GOING BEYOND Single Parent Conference.
